Thanks for the comment. Yes, performance is a good differentiator (it matches user expectations) - and there are already many optimization features available in Saxon-SA that don't appear in Saxon-B. But of course one wants to do this without artificially "slugging" the performance of the free product - remember it's open source so users could easily remove any artificial limits.
